I am a trained craftsman with 15 years of experience in repairing and
restoring guitars. To this day, I have restored guitars by makers such as Lacote, Laprevotte, J.G. and J.A.
Staufer, Ries, Scherzer, Santos Hernandez, M. Ramirez, Esteso and many more. Most of them are now played by
their professional owners or form part of advanced private collections. I am officially authorised to use real
pre-convention ivory for restoration purposes. I also have a fine collection of historic guitars. Some of them
are restored and thus perfectly playable. They may be seen and played at my workshop and - most of them - may be
purchased. Prices for original guitars in good playable condition - for example an anonymous guitar of the romantic
era made in Vienna or Mirecourt - start at €2.400. Unrestored guitars are not for sale, but may be studied at my
shop, too. Estimates are free, as is a simple non-written appraisal of your antique guitar(s). A complete written
appraisal costs 2.5% of the instrument's actual value and needs the instrument to be examined thoroughly. I will
gladly respond to your inquiries concerning historical guitars, whether you are looking for a fine working
instrument, or thinking of having one restored, sold or appraised.
